They are not witches!

The heat has descended. In no way am I referring to the gradual rise in temperature, where watered down beers are broken out of recently purchased coolers, and those can afford to be without shirts will go without. No, what I'm referring to is a literal blitzkrieg attack of hair-raping humidity and inhumane temperatures. My dear friends, August is upon us, and with that, you have little chance of surviving without hearing the sickening (but oddly pleasing?) sounds of LFO's "Summergirls".... until today. Alas, I have assembled for you a mixtape, frantic assortment of summer-orientated lyrics about women, men, alcohol and other mundane things that shimmer so poignantly in popular song! With these previously unrelated statements in mind, I sincerely hope that you enjoy this assortment of musical pleasure!

I advise you to err on the side of caution though, because this collection is intended for the water, for the sun, and for that miniscule space between your ears and the cave of your headphones. The union of song featured below is NOT intended to be purveyed at dawn, or any other such time where tender summer moments are stripped bare to their necessities. In simpler words, this is a daytime mixtape.

Apocalyptic Heat, where are your arch-angel children?
An Official Looks Like Coffee, Tastes Like Juice Mixtape!

SIDE C

For those of you who are ridiculously stubborn (also known as all the readers of this little blog...) and would love nothing more than to listen to this mixtape in the forbidden "time between", I thought I'd offer you up two tracks to accompany the sun's descent!

Eleven - Bay of Pigs - Destroyer (13 minutes and 39 seconds)
[clicking Bay of Pigs will bring you to a link, which is the stream of the song. We'll offer the song up for download as soon as robotically possible]

Twelve - Tribute To - Yim Yames (6 song EP)
[clicking Tribute To will bring you to Stereogum, which offers the entirety of the this George Harrison tribute album streaming. I'm not going to offer each song, basically because one of the songs is already in the Summer mixtape, and because I actually paid money for this. You should too!]

So, enjoy, and look forward to a cavalcade of posts that is sure to be brought upon you before the madness of the school year.

Yeah, I miss him too.

See you soon?
