Well, hello everyone, and welcome to another burning Wednesday evening, here on Looks Like Coffee, Tastes Like Juice. I have two very important points to make today, which will greatly influence today's post, so listen up. Tonight, I'm finally coming down from my ludicrously obsessive Neil Young-binge (a la yesterday), which has me listening to songs that are COMPLETELY different from Mr.Young. The second point is that I am finally, officially, out of grade school. This is giving me a very faux-sense of maturity (that I am completely aware of). So, beware of these things as you venture on to the rest of the post.

Tie My Hands (Feat. Robin Thicke) - Lil Wayne

A fantastically surprising soul song by Lil Wayne. This song is REALLY lifted by the soaring chorus, courtesy of Mr.Robin Thicke. It's also very interesting to note that Lil Wayne does not use any profanity, curse word, or obscenity (which is sort of his trademark?), and still keeps this song sounding fresh and amazing.

Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another edition of Looks Like Coffee, Tastes Like Juice. Today is proving itself to be a VERY exciting Tuesday, and as the night progresses, it seems to be getting much better. For those of you who don't know (get the hell off of my blog), Lil Wayne's new album, Tha Carter III, was FINALLY released today. Yes, I was at Dr.Disc directly after school spending my hard earned money to buy this album. Well, I think I built the hype up quite enough, and now, if I may, an official Looks Like Coffee, Tastes Like Juice Record Review seems to be in order.

An Official Looks Like Coffee, Tastes Like Juice Record Review; Tha Carter III

Before I first sat down to listen to this album, my hand were shaking. The reason I was so anxious about this is, quite frankly, I didn't think that anything could top Da Drought 3. I release now that this is not what Dwayne Carter (Lil Wayne, respectively) set out to do. Tha Carter III is an equally amazing, yet completely different album. So, with that in mind, I proceeded to carefully slide the album into my CD player. The following 18 songs were complete and utter bliss.

3 Peat serves as a great opener, with Lil Wayne rapping about... well, basically shooting your grandmother and being the greatest. Then, the epic (I hate that word) Mr.Carter starts, which sets a completely different mood, featuring a sweet sped up sample, and Jay-Z (that's always a good way to get points with me). After all this, I still don't mind the T-Pain contribution, even though he bugs the living shit out of me.

The rest of the album is equally great, with maybe just one low point (A Mili), but I was able to get past that, so you should as well! Well, here's a track from the album, even though I HIGHLY suggest that you go to your local record store and purchase it yourself. I mean it this time.

I just recently received some pictures and videos from my show at Dr.Disc Records, and I naturally feel the need to share them with you.
